Lewis “BJ” Burrell III is a speaker, minister, writer, and founder of “The Wake Up Call youth program”. As a speaker and teen mentor Lewis continuously speaks at Youth Meetings and facilitates youth discussions, addressing students, peers and community residents with a message geared to reach young adults and teens. His mission is to Wake Up young people so that the light of Christ may shine on them so they may behave and live properly in this day and age.

Lewis also works as drug and alcohol prevention educator as an Activities Therapist with the City of Cleveland department of public health Student Assistance Program whose goal is to help students become aware of the causes and dangers of substance abuse: to provide them with knowledge, skills, and confidence to make healthy personal and social choices for a drug-free lifestyle.

Lewis is committed to taking his message throughout the world to churches, classrooms, conventions, conferences and crusades. Audiences love his energetic and engaging delivery. In a world where “Pop Psychology” is trendy, Lewis challenges organizations to add some flava to their youth program or ministry. Names say a lot about a person and the name Lewis means famous battle warrior or famous in battle. The name Lewis is derived from the Teutonic or members of the Germanic-speaking people. As history would have it Teutonic Knights were the name of an organization of German crusaders that arose in Europe during the 1100’s. The Teutonic knights were organized for service in the Holy Land these knights tried to convert and control the people and their power and influence spread throughout central and Eastern Europe.

Lewis Burrell III is unquestionably a crusader, by definition of the word crusade which means a vigorous concerted movement for a cause or against an abuse. Lewis burrell III is a crusader for the cause of Christ.

Born August 9th 1975, Lewis resides in Cleveland, Ohio with his lovely wife Linda, they currently have no children. He graduated from Lincoln West High School in 1993, and studied at Cleveland State University and Cuyahoga Community College. Lewis also worked for several years in the Music Industry doing a number of different tasks including record promotions, artist management, and performed an assortment of duties for various record labels, his interests include music, teaching, reading, computers, eating, being a great husband and passionately serving God. He enjoys attending church regularly and has strong Christian Convictions and strives to be a man of Honor and challenges others to live godly.
