Hosting a Purity Party

Text: "For this is the will of God, even your sanctification, that ye should abstain from fornication:

that every one of you should know how to possess his vessel in sanctification and honour"

(I Thessalonians 4:3-4).

What is a Purity Party?

A Purity Party is an exciting way to powerfully influence teens to abstain from fornication and live a life of sexual purity. In a non threatening non lecture format using thought provoking activities games and discussions.

Why host a Purity Party?

Hosting a purity presentation is a great way to introduce your friends and family to the amazing benefit of living a life of sexual purity and practicing abstinence until marriage.

Friends are most kids' biggest influence this party will help your teen influence their friends in a positive way by using positive peer pressure. It's much easier for teens to take a stand for what's right when they've all heard the same message this way they can remind themselves and their peers what they committed to and shared at the Purity Party.

This puts them in the driver's seat they can always refer back to what was learned and the commitments that were made. How much easier will it be for Teens to say no to unwanted pressure to have sex?

Statistic show that peer education is by far the most effective way to teach young people and with a little concern and a lot of prayer we just might be able to keep our young people sexually clean in a dirty world.

Who should attend a Purity Party?

Any teenager with a pulse (age 13 and up) rather they are sexually active or not they should attend a Purity Party. Good abstinence messages are like good showers they are needed often and frequent.

One teenager was noted for saying “It's almost as if adults are afraid to talk about it for fear they will put the idea in our head. Well guess what...we are already thinking about it and we need as much guidance and advice as possible.

What will be covered?

•  The importance of saving ones virginity and practicing abstinence until marriage

•  How to rededicate and gain secondary virginity

•  How sexual sins causes negative spiritual consequences and cause two people to become one flesh (soul ties) and

•  How sexual immorality can ruin ones reputation and cause physical and emotional harm.

•  How to remain sexually pure

•  The importance of evaluating ones friends and ones choices of entertainment

•  Dating Issues – the purpose of dating, setting boundaries, resisting sexual pressure,

The objectives

•  To give youth the tools necessary to stay pure

•  To plant a seed for youth to honor God with their body

•  To help youth develop a vision for a Godly marriage

How will this be done?

The wake up call purity team will come to your home and provide the activities and generate the discussions all you have to do is get the teens to the party. Through discussions and short video and audio clips from movies popular songs are great for discussions. Role plays for resisting pressure and setting boundaries. Teens will also get purity contracts to sign and handouts to take home to discuss with parents and some will receive purity pledge cards.

What is needed?

A place to fit teens, a TV and VCR, a CD player, Paper and pencils, a Bible and plenty of food and small giveaway prizes.

How much does it cost to host a Purity Party?

The cost to host a Purity Party is a lot cheaper then what it will cost to help provide for a Teen parent. The cost is minimal we ask that you provide food, Good food ideas can be spaghetti, salad, bread, and drink and snack foods like chips and cookies. We also ask that you cover the cost of any giveaways and door prizes which are recommended. Good prizes include books about purity, Christian music CD's, Purity pledge cards, and sexual purity audio messages.
